The Joint Commission International (JCI) is a branch of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), the same group that accredits US hospitals. To gain JCI accreditation, international hospitals must meet stringent standards, comparable to JCAHO-accredited hospitals in the US.
