The requirements of the health tourists as we understand comes in multiple stages

 Research and Identification
  • Research on the specific treatment required, hospitals and doctors and the destination
  • Identification of a hospital for treatment and / or Travel operator
  • Get quotes for treatment, travel and accommodation
Engagement
  • Streamlined communications with the hospital and/or Travel operator
  • View the doctors instructions pre and post surgery
  • Facilitate communications between the doctor selected to treat the patient and the doctor in the home country
  • Secure case history and other documents  transfer between the health tourist and the hospital
  • Discussions with the doctor selected for treatment based on case history and other documents
  • Identifying and selecting non medical requirements
  • Creating a schedule for the medical journey
  • Finance module which allows the patient to track debit/ Credit if the bill settlement is being done between the medical travel facilitator and the hospital for the health tourist
Fulfillment
  • Coordination with the destination management team on travel and accommodations based on selections made
  • Undergoing the treatment at the hospital
  • Additional medical requirements addressed

Post Treatment

  • Post treatment consultation and follow up  

The information requirements for research and identification stage will be derived from the software provided to the health care facilitators or the hospitals. The information and management provisions required for stages 2 to 4 are inbuilt into the Health Tourists Module of the Virtual Medical tourism Ecosystem software which is provided to every health tourist. This module is provided to the health tourist by the travel facilitator or the hospital that have licenses for the software

 

With out the hospital or the health care facilitator using the system the health tourist’s module will not be efficient as the data input that drives the information component is done by the hospitals or the health care facilitators.

 

The system has been created to support businesses in the Medical Tourism domain and improve their efficiency.
