China
How about China?
Posted December 2nd, 2007 by polluxDear Blog master,
Glad to find your informative blog. My wife and I are considering a
trip to China and having some cosmetic/dental work done there. I noticed
many medical trip sources as well as your blog recommended many countries
but gave very few comments on China. Is it because you don't know much
about the healthcare industry in that country, or you don't think China is
a applicable medical trip destination for a certain reason? I do need your
advice. Thanks a lot.
Taiwan to allow China medical tourism
The Taiwanese government has cleared a proposal to permit mainland Chinese medical tourists to visit the island, further easing travel restrictions for mainland residents.
China
For centuries China stood as a leading civilization, outpacing the rest of the world in the arts and sciences, but in the 19th and early 20th centuries, the country was beset by civil unrest, major famines, military defeats, and foreign occupation. After World War II, the Communists under MAO Zedong established an autocratic socialist system that, while ensuring China's sovereignty, imposed strict controls over everyday life and cost the lives of tens of millions of people.
